Barry Freeland
Barry Freeland has been successful
in real estate marketing, construction, financing and development continuously
since 1973.
He is a graduate of Cal State
Sonoma. He received a certificate for studying Urban Planning at UC Berkeley
and has taken many private real estate marketing, investment and development
related courses. He studied Economics at the University of Maryland Far
East extension.
He is a fulltime Realtor. He has
worked independently and for regional, National and international developers.
He assisted those developers in a variety of capacities including the
management of land acquisition, entitlements, construction and marketing.
He learned the business
starting as a real estate salesman in 1973, became a broker in 1976 and then expanded
into investment, construction and development management. He’s personally
handled the sale of over 1000 pieces of property, including both resale real
estate and subdivision sales. He has recruited and trained sales people, and
the whole development team. He has set up and managed sales offices and handled
all aspects of the business. He also managed other aspects of the real estate
development. Eventually he secured his contractor’s license and became the
General Contractor, the Senior Project Manager and a Division Manager.
Barry knows the business inside
and out, because he made a point to gain experience performing all the tasks
required to acquire, design, entitle, finance, build and sell residential and
commercial real estate.
Over the past 39 years, the
business has changed dramatically. Barry adapts to the change and has always
been successful. He is always at the top of his industry.
He has been recognized as a
“Top produce” in real estate sales, and served as a President for the
Developers Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Lions Club. He has
also served as Director for the California Realtors Association, and for KB
Homes Corporation. He served as a Board of Realtors officer and as an MLS
Officer for many years. He chaired committees and taught real estate to
Realtors. He has held the title of Division Manager for Federal Development,
and General Manager of FSco, Senior Project Manager for Top Vision Development
(Universal Paragon, and sales manager for a number of companies.
Currently he works in
association with Cottage & Castles Real Estate, in Prunedale, where he is
the office “Top Producer”. He has assembled a team of experts who have successfully
focused on resale residential and land sales. Barry and his team have counseled
and helped many families needing a Loan Modification or Short Sale. Barry can
and has handled nearly every type of transaction. The most affordable home was $3,000
many years ago. Several of the largest investment projects were in the quarter billion
dollar range.
